My kitchen is charming (read: old) and I've decorated it nicely, but it's just so inefficient when it comes to cooking. There is no counter near the stove so I need to walk back and forth across the room to cook and prepare foods. It's from the early 1900s, and hopefully we'll have the money to renovate soon.

I am glad you are feeling better. The only thing that really bugs me about my kitchen is how it gets cluttered so quickly. The snack bar is the drop off point for some many things. Its always the first room in the house i clean every day.

Truthfully, the main thing that bugs me about my kitchen is that i can never keep it clean! (LOL) If I could change something other than that, it would be the placement of the heat/ac unit right below the kitchen sink at my feet. When I am washing dishes my feet are either getting hot (in the winter) or freezing (in the summer).
My kitchen floor is FREEZING and I think I have too many large items (canisters, mixer, etc) on the counter making it look cluttered. But I still love my kitchen :)

I have plenty of cabinet space, but the cabinets are weird above my bar. They are flat against the wall rather than being angled, so if I need something, I have to climb on the counter to reach it. By the way, glad you're feeling better!

The one thing that bugs me about my kitchen is the lack of cupboards. I live in a mobile home and the cupboards that I do have are pretty worthless. It seems the more I try to organize the kitchen the worse it gets.
Glad you are feeling better! One thing that annoys me oabout my kitchen is that I chose white cabinets when we built the house (budget constraints) and you can see every little dirt spot and finger print. I do a lot of wiping down of cabinets.
